My Fitness, and Coding, Summer

This summer has been a physical and mental grind for me. Prior to summer I said I was going to lose weight to get that beach body. I in-fact did do that. But towards the start of summer I've realized that i needed to start taking my diet seriously. I have been mainly eye-balling my calories, but this time i wanted to take it seriously. My first move was to buy a weight scale and downloading a calorie tracker app. My calorie target became 1700 calories. I then took notes from videos online about approaches to make it maintainable. I then seriously started understanding calories and how to calculate them, and this seriously changed my outlook of weight change. I've began dropping 10 lbs rapidly, to the point i lost strength. Despite the loss in strength, I realized how effective cutting calories became. Something I also learned that I was taught earlier is that calories is not equal to being full, it is completely unrelated and that was crazy to me. Currently I've increased my calories to 2000-2100 and I still have my abs but my strength has started increasing. And this has greatly boosted my happiness with how I feel and the outcomes I get from the gym. I've also been working on coding and the SWE internship grind. I'll go more in-depth on this progress in the next blog, which I hope I can do more often! Thanks for reading!
